Symposium: Love
Child:

Love is an orange slice

From sibling to sibling.

Both sweet and sour, it is

A silent apology

For spilled tears.

Heated words now forgiven-

Almost forgotten

As small smiles begin

To reach their eyes.

Father:

Love is sacrifice. It is giving up

The things you love

For the people you can't bear to live without.

Love is pushing aside

The days when your son reminds you of his mother,

Because he can't help but look like her.

Author:

Love is passionate.

It is romance,

It is intrigue.

It is fanciful and playful,

And red hot.

Love steals away

Into the night,

But in the furious light of morning

It always comes back.

Therapist:

Love is simple, but difficult.

Love is sometimes an emotion,

And sometimes a choice.

It is sensational when it works

And devastating when it doesn't.

Love is full of contradictions.
